Val.Ai
Greenhouse makes home efficiency simple and was built to improve confidence of home improvement decisions so Australians save money and build wealth whilst helping to protect the planet.
The Val.Ai technology delivers more than just the carbon footprint and supports regulatory reporting by institutions carrying the asset.
After selection by the Global CivTech Alliance as a startup with potential to create societal change Val.Ai joined a handful of companies showcasing their products to an audience of over 40,000 attendees and live-streamed globally at the UN COP27 November 2022.
Off the back of their first seed investment to launch Greenhouse, a sustainability and financial marketplace platform for homeowners to design fast, short-term improvements in their home’s energy efficiency, and create long term home equity and resilience.
Powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and personalised to homeowners and their property, Greenhouse helps customers commit to, fund and monitor home improvements.
Allys Todd, CoFounder CEO of Val.Ai said the platform was designed to help households better monitor and reduce their carbon footprint, estimated to contribute towards 20 per cent of Australia’s total emissions.
“Greenhouse makes home efficiency simple and was built to improve the confidence of home improvement decisions so Australians save money and build wealth whilst helping to protect the planet.”
“Families are under energy cost pressures and are confused about how to improve their property, and don’t know what home upgrades, green finance or government rebates they can access.”
“Our technologies are built with a focus on human-centred design because we believe a sustainable energy-efficient future is possible because Greenhouse makes sustainability simple.”
“We can help track and predict the energy efficiency and carbon profile and advise the best way to sustainability improve the home.” said Allys
The platform brings together broad data sets from multiple industry providers and combines this information with AI to create personalised metrics and recommendations for each home to improve energy efficiency. The platform then helps homeowners fund the improvements linking them to financing, including lower interest loans.

Raising $1M in working capital and seed investment
Greenhouse was fast-tracked to market off the back of its recent seed series funding.
Led by Artesian, and supported by a mix of venture capital and global angel investors with a climate impact focus. Val.Ai will deploy the funds to scale the Greenhouse platform with the ambition to increase the sustainability and financial comfort of Australian homes ensuring no household is left behind.

“We are excited to partner with Val.AI and help accelerate their early momentum in this growing sector,” says Kirsten Bernhardt, Investment Manager at Artesian.
“You can’t manage what you can’t measure, and we believe Val.AI has the right mix of team, technology, and strong commercial interest, to deliver the tools needed by lenders, insurers, and individual residents, to drive the decarbonization of residential real estate assets.”
